With a divert system, users can accept properly sealed products at the discharge of a case sealer, as the system can redirect 50-pound cases with open flaps (unsealed cases).
Featuring an initial 15-inch wide x 30-inch long mild steel construction diverter infeed conveyor to create the minimum amount of gapping required for the divert process, the system offers a dual activated roller belt (DARB) switch for its divert belting.
When cases don’t have open flaps, they are transported to finished product conveyors. But, if the system notices and signals that open flaps have been detected, all unsealed cases are then tracked and diverted using pneumatic actuation underneath the system’s DARB rollers. Afterward, they’re transferred to existing reject conveyors instead.
